The SSI Basic Diver certification is a great programme for those who want to learn the basics of diving but are short on time! This can be ran in a single day and is comprised of two dives.

Upon arrival at the dive centre, you will be buddied up with your instructor who will introduce you to your equipment. You will learn the basics of the different components that make up the Scuba unit and learn how to put it together. We will then go through a safety briefing and some of the skills that you will be shown underwater. Then it will be time to get changed and go diving!

The first dive will be shallower than the second and you will be able to put the theory that you have learned into practice! We will come back to the dive centre, do a debrief and hop in the boat for the second dive!

The theory component of the course can be done online before your waterwork through elearning. This will allow you to maximise the amount of time you have in the water! Once you have completed the Basic Diver you will be certified to dive to a maximum depth of 12m with an SSI professional for 6 months.

If you decide to continue and do the open water course then we will knock the price of the basic diver off the course price!
